Won't You Help Protect Children's Rights

Charlotte Awino is missing. Your letter can help her parents find her.

Rebel troops in Uganda burst into a school in October 1996 and kidnapped 14-year-old Charlotte Awino, along with many of her classmates. Some of the girls eventually escaped. Charlotte is still missing.

Ugandan rebels have abducted thousands of children during recent years and taken them to the camps they operate, with support from the Sudanese Government, in Sudan. There, the children are forced into prostitution or armed combat.

Parents of the abducted children have formed an organization, Concerned Parents, and have demanded government action to find the children and to halt the abductions.

Please write to the President of Sudan on behalf of Charlotte, her family, and many other families in Uganda.
