Town Hall Meetings on Human Rights

Planned for December 10, 1998 in dozens of communities nationwide

On December 10, 1998 - the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - men, women, boys and girls will come together in cities across America to discuss the importance of the Declaration to their own communities and to the larger world. We hope you will participate - consider pressing local, national and international issues, engage in educational and cultural programs that explore the principles of the Declaration, and most importantly, take specific action to strengthen respect for human rights at home and abroad.

This ambitious plan depends upon local leaders in cities across the country. Please explore the purposes and structure of this program, then decide what role you can play.
